Of the fairy tales included in this anthology, 3 come from Andersen, 3 from George MacDonald, 4 from Frank Stockton, 2 from Laurence Housman, 2 from Washington Irving, and 2 from the Arabian Nights. The remaining tales in this collection were selected from a wide variety of sources for their appeal to children of this age.
